MISSION STATEMENT

Under the lordship of Jesus Christ, the mission of Atlanta Cumberland Theological Seminary (ACTS) is to educate, equip, and sustain men and women for ordained and lay Christian ministry in the church and throughout the world. Through biblically faithful theological education, spiritual formation, and practical ministry preparation, ACTS seeks to shape and inspire lives for faithful Christian service.

ACTS provides undergraduate and graduate theological education at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, preparing students for a variety of Christian ministries in the church, the academy, and the wider community for the glory of God. In fulfillment of this mission, ACTS is guided by the reformed theological faith and spirit expressed in the three forms of unity as faithful subordinate expression of biblical doctrine,

These confessional standards affirm the authority of Holy Scripture, salvation by God’s sovereign grace through Jesus Christ, and the calling of the Church to faithful worship, discipleship, service, and witness.
